CATL the major EV battery manufacturer is now replacing it by sodium whereas Toyota and others are shortly going to introduce solid state batteries based on other metals. The major shortages are going to be in the rare earths, copper and aluminum required to build out national power grids to the needed three times current capacity and the reach to collect the wind power and handle local distribution for charging EVs as well as the wind power generators that will need replacing due to their low life cycle.
